I have no idea why I made this... but doing so made me put more effort into the image. (Not that that seemed to help any).
Please enjoy... it's NOT A TUTORIAL but just something which shows you how I made the resultant image! With Orks in it! And failed inking! I hate inking - I can't seem to get my strokes to be tapered on both ends of the lines - just one. Weird.
You can view the actual artwork here: [link] _____________________________________________ Handy tutorials! These 3 Orky tutorials are by : Ork Turotial - Extreme Basics [link] Ork Tutorial - The Sketch [link] METAL tutorial - Da Basic Plan [link]
And this Tutorial is for inking in photoshop: [link]
I was very much influenced by Reptile from your MK comics with the lollolololol thing I awlays love it when Reptile talks like that. And thankee, I put a surpising amount of effort into crisping Orlen (sadly though, putting a lighter to my computer screen wasn't doable...)

I am looking for references for an ork OC and I found this, and found that I have been referenced. Thanks a lot! I see by the end step you really buckled down and started using basic shapes to help define your cartoony orks, and it obviously worked. Keep it up!

Get yer choppas and yer shootas ready boys, cause there's some killin to do...
I hope you didn't mind me putting your tutorials in the description; they were very handy! Helped me get on track, so I wanted to give them credit (and you, since you made the tutorials ). I didn't use the metal one (yet) but it's also handy, so I put it up too.
And yep, things got alot better by the end (still not perfect, but it's a start). I can't wait to post my next Ork, he looks even better (well, the lineart anyway; not sure how the colouring'll turn out). He's very much inspired by your work (less cartoony, and a bit more realistic). I even managed to get the hunched look going (sort of; I'm slowly improving with that! ).
