Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

There are two ways to write a novel. Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind). So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me? Pantser? I think? But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid. And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly. And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. Starting with paper notebooks.

I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. But that's something I don't believe now as intently as i did then. From where I sit, piracy and used games sales are a problem, but not in the way game companies want us to believe that they are.
Used games are a good thing for consumers. We get to try games out, and if we don't like what we see or finish it early, we trade it in and try another title instead. It's a very good system for us since video game rentals are much harder to come by. If you're still using msn, I might be online more often this year; I'll be at my Mum and Dad's house and they have internet (last year I was restricted to internet at the uni, didn't have any where I lived).

Why am I not surprised you like Silverbolt? He's very gentlemanly - an extreme contrast to some of the others. He is indeed a decent character

I've deferred for a year, so I can do the first year of an associate science degree at Hobart (they have introductory maths and stuff, RMIT did not seem to offer any kind of assistance beyond their pitiful 4 week do-or-die maths course). I passed everything except mathermatics as expected, so I need to get this under my thumb before commencing 2nd year really. Technically, I could just continue my other subjects, but I know I there is no point progressing withut the maths. It's the core of any engineering. The university hasn't said anything to me, this was all of my own back, I'm rather dissapointed with them; they should be trying to help their students, not pretend they don't exist. I hate to say it but they just want the money, they don't give a flying leap if we pass.

I know, but I never seem to see you online on msn either (though, I haven't been on msn in about 2 months or more).

I have 4 favorites; Rattrap and Dinobot, and Waspinator and Terrorsaur (2 maximals, 2 predacons). Though I like all the characters, there isn't really one that I think is sucky or boring. They did a good job with character development in that series.

Ah fair enough. It kind of sucks how Unis can be like that. Deakin's been pretty good to me so far, most of my tutors seem to give a crap about how their students are going.

That's because I rarely am on MSN these days, dunno why, just stopped because many others have stopped using it I guess, I'll try and be a little more active on it though

And yeah, Beast Wars was a really well written show, the characters and things were all well developed and interesting in their own respect. The best part is that it was for a show aimed at kids. Silverbolt is just the standout for me. Tigertron was a close second, Rattrap and Cheetor tied for 3rd. none of my favourites were Preds... if I had to choose one it would be Waspinator or Inferno.

This really makes me want to rewatch them all.... and start a BEast Wars RP.. dammit, I miss MSN groups

I'll be more active on MSN too probably starting when I get to Tazzie (I seem to distracted in Tamworth to log in). So I guess I'm kinda bad at being signed in recently too lol.

I ued to not be very fond of Silverbolt, the whole chivalry thing got under my skin, but after rewatching he is pretty good; I'm actually glad they included and extrme "good guy", he adds another shade to the Maximals entirely and to me sort of reflects some of the G1 Autobots personalities more than any other BW character.

Gah I could write another ten paragraphs but I'm so tired I really gotta get to bed (have work tommorow). Thanks for chatting with me about Beast Wars!

Yeah, I wish MSN groups still existed too. If we're gonna RP we'll also have t decide where to host it (I have a couple of ideas, but I'll ttyl about it).

Mmm,I'm struggling to keep up with staying on MSN so yeah.... i'll keep trying though, once I get into the habit it won't be too bad!

Silverbolt really appealed to me when I was a kid and was watching the show, and as a i grew older it just stuck. There's always something about extreme chivalrous good guys that has appealed to me, so he was a natural favourite.

I think there's the cyberpunk network, or something like that, that was designed to take over from MSN groups, but a bit more like a message board forum with a lot more functionality than Groups, which could be good for us?

Loved Beast wars back in the day. I thought the story line was awesome Albeit a little ridiculous. I liked Rat trap a lot, but I think that had too much to do with his voice actor.

I do wish they had explained a few things better in Beast Wars, but apart from that I really like the story (more so than the other Transformer series, which although good all seem to be sort of the same in many aspects). I've always been the sort who can ignore some small inconsistancies as long as the charcters are well developed and there is some humour.

When you say it has to do with Rattrap's voice actor, do you mean how he gave him an accent? Or are you familiar with the voice actor and like his roles in general? That's interesting

Lol, no the voice actor himself. I was HUGE fan of Scott Mcneils work back in the day. He was the voice of Duo in Gundam Wing and the Original english PIccolo voice before they got all new actors that couldn't voice act worth a shit.
