Ok let's see - we have an image hosted on a profile that is 1 day old and asks you to visit a website with a strange url with a promise of a financial reward on an another website. How do you even imagine that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.

Bronies go nuts, and Nintendo Sucks?Equestria Girls
The trailer to "Equestria Girls" (the humanized MLP spinoff film) finally was released today. Aaaannnd everyone's freaking out. Again.
You know, it actually looks pretty decent. Bronies... please understand: I know you're a major unexpected demographic for the show. I know you enjoy seeing shout-out's become canon within the show, and appreciate how the creators do little things here and there for you. But... the show isn't made for you. This is not Cartoon Network and the target demographic isn't 25 year olds in college. You're a nice addition to the target demographic of little girls, but you are not the driving force behind MLP.
I don't want this to sound mean, but it needs to be said. This is where it becomes very important to understand the fine line between being a fan of the show and thinking that because you've invested so much energy into the show that you're entitled to things.
I'm sure the movie won't be as bad as everyone makes it out to be. It honest

Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Moses Art Challenge

I will be hosting a second competition soon, but I wanted to get this one on the role. The first competition is the more meaningful to me, as it is more personal. I would like to hold an art challenge in honour of our recently deceased cat, Moses.

All entries will be put into my favourites, and at the end of the competition all entries will be displayed in my journal.

Please send me a link via note of your contest entries, or leave the link on my jounral.

What To Do:</i> I will post several refrence images of Moses so you know what he looks like; from there, you can do any type of art ecxept poetry or prose (I have personal reasons for not wanting those kinds of entries). You can draw, do a photo manip, even a sculpture if you're that keen. I will personally judge the art myself, and base the winners on their creativity and hard work - not nrcessarily their skill. Also, the art challenge is themed</i>. I had two titles for Mo: "Moses The Wanderer", and, after his eye was removed, "Pirate Mo". Interpret these two titles as you will for the theme.
Rules:

Because of the nature of the prize (see below), I will need to post it to the winner of the first prize; this will require you to be able to note me a mailing address. See "Prizes" for more details.
You can use whatever materials or medium you like, so long as if you use any resources you give the appropriate credit
Moses must be in the image; you can have other animals or peope too though.
The art must also incoporate one of, or both of the themes, "Moses The Wanderer" and "Pirate Mo".
The closing date at the moment is 15th of April. However I want there to be a minimum of 10 entries, so if that quota is not filled the competition will be extended by one month.
Entry peice must not have been uploaded before 18Feb2009
3 Entries max per person. Only One prize per person.

First Place:</i> Because one of the themes is Pirate Mo,I have a pirate-themed bracelet to give away.Due to the fact I'll be posting the bracelet, If you are a living with parents, please ensure you get their permission to pass on mailing dsetails - I will delete all your details as soon as I have sent the item. If you cannot or do not want to give out mailing details, but you still wish to participate, you can either choose to give the bracelet to someone else you specify, and I'll feature your art in my jornal along with the second place winner.

Second Place: There will be one second place winner; this person will be featured in my journal (don't worry, I'm getting my subscription renewed so I can do this), and have eight of theirart works displayed (you shoose). You can also write a short description of yourself, and about your art for me to put up as well.

I have been wanting to make a slideshow of Mo's photos for my parents, but I haven't been able to find many. And I wanted it to be a celebration of his life, rather than a morbid reminder of his death. So I was wondering if I anyone would allow me to use their entries in the slideshow as well; I will give full credits, displaying your deviantart account address under each image. Also, in the end credits, I will mention all artists whose art was involved. If you wish for your entry to be part of the slideshow, please note me and write in your decxription on your artwork that you have given me permission (I don't want to cause any trouble). The reason I am asking for permissions to be put up in your descriptions is because I'd like to post it on my youtube account.
